Christmas Parade and Nativity Setup – 12/06/2025

Our council will have our “Keep Christ in Christmas” entry in the Jaycee’s Christmas parade on Saturday, 12/6. We will be loading up the trailer on the west side of Epiphany between 8:30 and 8:45 AM and will then carpool to the start of the parade (Kinsley Junior High).
We will hand out tootsie rolls as we walk the parade route.
Following the parade, we will return to Epiphany and complete setting up the outdoor nativity scene. We are usually back from the parade around 11:15 and it takes about 45 minutes to complete the setup.
The below link includes a signup both activities.
11/18/2025 Dinner and Visit ISU Library Special Collections Unit
This will take the place of our second meeting in November:
Brother Knights,
For our meeting on Tuesday, November 18, we’ll first meet at McAlister’s Deli inside the Bone Student Center at 6:00 PM for dinner and then 7:00 PM on the 6th Floor of Milner Library to see the Special Collections Unit (which is pretty amazing).
PARKING: Spots are plentiful in the Bone Student Center lot on the north side of the building. Park here and then walk into the Bone on the first floor entrance next to the bookstore. Make a right inside that entrance and you will see McAlister’s. I recommend the French dip or BLT and the chicken tortilla soup is fantastic!
At 6:50 PM we’ll walk through the connecting hall from the Bone to Milner Library and take the elevator to the 6th floor.
Maureen Brunsdale will give a presentation of about a half-hour and leave plenty of time for your questions. You will be allowed to handle some of the artifacts but please wash your hands before doing so. I’ll have some sanitizer to take the oil off your fingers.

Epiphany Outdoor Workday – 11/01/2025
On Saturday, November 1st from 9 AM to Noon, we will have an outdoor workday at Epiphany. We plan to work on picking up leaves around the buildings including the rectory, finishing up some sidewalk edge work, and cleaning some windows at the Church\Hall. For the leaves, we will likely have another day later in the month to finish things up after the remaining leaves are down.
If you would like to help, please add your name and contact information below (either email or cell phone number). The contact information will be used if we need to change times or cancel.
Please bring your rakes if you plan to help with the leaves.
Vocation Raffle – 2025

The rest stays with our council and will be used to support our local Vocation programs.
There are 2 ways to get your tickets\books. Contact the Grand.Knight@kofc6498.org or you may use the below link to make a donation for 1 book (5 tickets). 2025 – Intellectual Disability Drive

This is one of the most recognizable activities that the Knights of Columbus do. The funds generated from this drive are used to support local programs which help people with special learning needs.
For those that may not see us out at the locations but would still like to make a donation, the Illinois State Council is providing a secure online donation option. Please feel free to share this page with your family and friends that may be interested in supporting our drive.
